Sydney Thomas, the 21-year-old model and University of Alabama student, became an overnight sensation after her viral appearance as a ring girl during the Mike Tyson-Jake Paul fight in November 2024. Since then, she’s revealed some interesting behind-the-scenes details about the influx of attention she’s received, including messages from celebrities and even an SEC football coach.
During an appearance on the “Like A Farmer Podcast,” Thomas shared that the coach, who is a fan of Alabama, slid into her DMs with a simple “Roll Tide.” While she declined to reveal the identity of the coach, she teased that he’s an SEC football coach who is now an Alabama fan, leaving listeners to speculate about who it might be.

When asked about the most surprising DMs she’s received, Thomas confirmed that several celebrities had reached out, though she refused to name names. “I don’t feel like exposing them,” she said, laughing. “I don’t need any negative publicity right now.”

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Thomas is currently taking online classes at the University of Alabama so she can continue traveling for her career. Her rise to fame began after going viral for her role in the Tyson-Paul fight at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, which marked her second appearance as a ring girl. Her debut was in Puerto Rico at a Most Valuable Promotions event in October 2024.
