Starting the festivities is 50 Seasons in 50 Days, an online showcase of iconic sketches handpicked by the SNL team to represent every era of the show. Fans can visit NBC Insider daily to enjoy behind-the-scenes insights into classic sketches, such as Ryan Gosling’s “Papyrus,” “SNL 40: Celebrity Jeopardy,” and “(Do It on My) Twin Bed.”

Beyond Saturday Night Docuseries
On January 16, Peacock will debut SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night, a four-part docuseries offering a deep dive into the making of an SNL episode, casting decisions, and the production of a full season. Executive-produced by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville (20 Feet From Stardom), the series features rare footage, celebrity interviews, and reflections from over 60 contributors, including former cast members and writers.
Questlove’s Musical Documentary
On January 27, NBC will premiere Ladies & Gentlemen … 50 Years of SNL Music, a documentary film co-directed by Questlove and Oz Rodriguez. This special explores the culture-shaping musical performances and cameos that have defined SNL over the years. The documentary promises never-before-heard stories about the show’s most groundbreaking musical moments and will stream on Peacock the following day.

For January 11, NBC will re-air the November 2 episode featuring comedian and former SNL writer John Mulaney as host. In this fan-favorite episode, Mulaney delivered a hilarious monologue about fatherhood, showcased a “New York musical” sketch set in a Duane Reade, and starred in a moving pretaped segment about a monkey astronaut named Beppo.
