The National Weather Service forecasts light snow to start falling Saturday morning, transitioning into a rain-snow mix by afternoon. Saturday’s high will reach around 37°F, but temperatures will drop quickly as night falls, with lows dipping to about 19°F. Snow showers will continue on Sunday, but temperatures will struggle to rise above 22°F.

Monday will bring an even harsher blast of cold, with an Arctic air mass sweeping through the region. Wind chills could reach as low as -15°F, particularly during the night into Tuesday morning. Residents are being urged to take precautions to avoid frostbite by limiting outdoor exposure and dressing warmly.

Drivers on major highways, including I-90, should prepare for poor visibility and slick roads as snow accumulations remain light but could still cause travel delays, particularly in higher elevation areas.

The cold will persist throughout the week, with Monday’s high barely reaching 8°F and a slight chance of snow showers. Tuesday will bring more single-digit temperatures, although skies may clear slightly, providing some relief from the cloud cover.
